There are quite a few ground control software options available for both IOS and Android. Most DJI pilots will use the DJI Go app when first learning how to operate their aircraft manually. Its functionality is limited, however, for those wanting to perform autonomous missions. For these types of missions, you must rely on a handful of third party apps. Pix4Dcapture extends functionality for both Android and IOS mobile devices while Map Pilot and GSPro are for IOS only.

Notes:
- minimum overlap (sidelap & endlap) for any terrain type 75%
- Increasing overlap increases data quality and flying time
- for flights over mature vegetation
- increase overlap to at lease 85%
- increase flying height
